Alton will be having its spring cleanup on Sat May 16 New change for this year, Transfer station cleanup format, nothing will be picked up road side. See information in the documents below.
About Alton
Located in Penobscot County, Maine, the Town of Alton is approximately 18 miles from Bangor and five miles from Interstate 95. Established in 1844, Alton has retained its small-town appeal with neighborly residents and a rural landscape of fields, woods, and brooks. The neighboring Hirundo Wildlife Refuge and our active LA Sledders snowmobile club maintain local trails connected to the state's ITS trail system.
